MycroBurst Hosts Popular Political Campaign Designs
Monday 17 October 2011< | Jessica KornfeindAt MycroBurst we see all kinds of contests on our website — and it’s exciting for us! As the seasons change, so do design contests; the most recent wave includes political campaign design. A recent, finished contest was just that.
This two- part contest, entitled Rupert for Governor, was looking for logo and stationery design. To fans of reality television, Rupert may look (and sound) familiar to you … he’s none other than Rupert Boneham from Survivor! Clad in his usual tie-dye, Rupert was a favorite among fans. Aside from Survivor, Rupert is helping to make a huge difference in the lives of troubled youth through his own charity, Rupert’s Kids.
The next challenge Mr. Rupert Boneham is taking on, as he announced this past Saturday, is ... Governor of Indiana. That’s right, he is considering running for Governor!
To be sure that he has an eye-catching design for his campaign, Rupert’s campaign turned to MycroBurst to establish the perfect campaign design. The winning logo for Rupert’s campaign has been chosen and here it is!
You can see the stationery winner here as well.
Aside from Rupert’s design contests, political design projects are heating up all over MycroBurst.com!
Political t-shirts are a huge hit within political design. As of Friday, we have 5 new political t-shirt contests! These new projects are Republican and pro-candidate – but, if you are looking to design for the another political party don’t fret – those are coming soon!
Each of the current contests is guaranteed with a $500 prize amount – what are you waiting for?

New MycroBurst Feature Gives You More Options!
Monday 10 October 2011< | Jessica KornfeindWe’ve done it again! As many of you have seen, we are constantly improving MycroBurst.com to be the best we can be for our project holders and design community. Our newest feature enables project holders to have more options and it also gives designers an opportunity to win extra prize money!
So, what’s this new big addition? MycroBurst is now allowing project holders to select additional winners! That’s right – if you see more than one design that you like throughout your contest, it could be yours!
Additional designs could be used anywhere - to spice up marketing collateral, make flyers eye-catching, ensure your stationery and business cards leave a lasting impression, and more!
The best part? Choosing additional designs is a cinch.
Once a project holder has selected the ultimate winner for their design project, they will then be directed toward our additional winner selection page! This is how it works:
- A project holder selects the individual design wanted. (Please note: You can select multiple additional winners – you are not limited to one! All of the following steps are the same.)
- A prize amount for the additional design is offered to the designer of that design. We suggest offering the same prize amount that was offered during the contest or more.
- The designer of the additional design then decides whether or not they will accept the prize amount and give the project holder that additional design.
Once the designer agrees to the offered prize, the design will be yours! Waiting time for finalized files is the same 2-3 working days as the original contest.
To all of our designers, I imagine you can see the benefits that are present for you too! Now that there are more opportunities for designs to be chosen by project holders, there are more opportunities for you to win prize money! When you are chosen as an additional winner, you are given the option to release your designs not only for a prize amount, but for exposure of your skills!
I hope you are all excited as we are, we can’t wait to see this new feature in action!
Don’t have a project started yet? Start one now!

MycroBurst now has Veiled Projects!
Monday 12 September 2011< | Jessica KornfeindWe’re making another upgrade to MycroBurst.com! Thanks to your feedback, we were able to make this upgrade option possible!
MycroBurst will now offer that project holders can host Veiled Projects!
What is the Veiled Project upgrade?
This upgrade allows designs submitted to a project to be unseen to most people. While designers will be able to see the designs they upload but no other designer’s designs will be visible to them.
Only the project holder can see all designs submitted to their project. Anyone else who views a Veiled Project will not be able to see submitted designs.
Why go Veiled?
Upgrading to host a Veiled Project holds several benefits for the project holder! When designs are hidden from other designers you are assured that each design that is submitted is original. This also prevents duplicated entries.
Promoting creativity from designers will ensure your designs will truly be one-of-a-kind. It also encourages a fair and high quality competition. With a Veiled Project there will be no copying of designs between designers.
Here’s what a Veiled Project looks like from a project holder’s perspective:
Here’s what the same project will look like from the perspective of a designer that has submitted two designs to the Veiled Project:
All designers will still be able to see general comments you leave for them at the bottom of the project. It is crucial to keep continued conversation so designers know that they are reaching your ultimate design goal.
This is what a Veiled Project’s general comment section will look like:
Veiled Projects are also a benefit for designers!
As a designer, you may be concerned that your designs could be copied or recreated throughout a contest. Submitting drafts to a Veiled Project assures that there will be no copies of custom designs.
Submitting to a Veiled Project guarantees a fair competition and provides designers with an outlet to be fully creative throughout the entire length of the project.
How do you upgrade?
It’s easy! To add the Veiled Project upgrade, you must have started a design project at MycroBurst.
You then Log-In and head to the “My Projects” section. You will see your live projects listed here.
Next to the project name, you will click “Upgrade” and select the “Veiled Project” option.
Once you click “Proceed” at the bottom of the screen, you’ll pay for the upgrade and your project will be seen as a Veiled Project!
As you can see, upgrading to a Veiled Project will enable your designs to be as creative as possible. Questions? Feel free to contact us! Email – phone
