More To Choose At MycroBurst!

Did you receive many quality and intriguing design concepts at your MycroBurst design project?  Not sure which to choose?  Could you use more than one of the designs?  Do you know that you’re going to need more than just one design?  We’ve got a solution for you!

Back in October we posted that Project Holders at MycroBurst can select additional winners to their project, once it commences. We’ve brought that to the next level.

Project Holders can now notate that they will be picking more than one winner, before their project is over!

As you may have seen on our site, here are a few brief guidelines for selecting additional winners:
- Notating early that you will be selecting more than one design will save you time during the finalization process and motivate designers!
- We recommend that you pay the same prize amount (or higher) as your project’s prize amount to additional winners.
- After you’ve finalized your project, you will select the additional designs you want.  Each additional designer will be contacted.  The designers must consent to releasing the designs at the prize amount offered.  Once they do, the file sending process will begin.

Let’s take a closer look at what each step will look like.

Here’s how it works:

When a project holder logs in to their account and is goes to their “My Projects” section.  They’ll notice the new addition of the “Add Winner(s)” to the right of each active project.

Once a Project Holder decides that they want more than one winner for their active project, they will click “Add Winner(s).”  It will bring them to the “Winners Information” area.  This is the area that Project Holders will tell MycroBurst how many additional winners they want and how much they will be awarding each.  This is also the billing area.

Once at the project page, you’ll notice the “Winners?” field number has changed.  This shows designers how many winners (including the project winner) the particular Project Holder will be choosing!

If one was to click on the “Winners?” field, it will bring up the pop-up below.  This will show what a Project Holder will be paying to each additional winner chosen.  Please note, this includes all winners.  Winner #1 will be the winner of the entire project, the rest will be the additional winners.

Once a Project Holder is ready to finalize their project, the process is simple.  After going finalizing the winner of the contest, the Project Holder will be brought to the screen below.  To choose additional winners, there are two links to follow to do so.

The Project Holder will then see the remaining designs and get to choose which they want to award as their additional winners.

Project Holders please note:  The order in which you choose your additional winners, is the same as the order in which you awarded additional prize money.  For example, when you click on the “Winners?” and see the order – The first design you select as a winner here will receive the award for Winner #2 shown in the previous pop-up.

Every time you check a box, you will receive a pop-up confirming the prize amount that the designer will receive.  If you wish to not award that designer, simply uncheck the check box.  You will also be brought to the Winners Information screen to finalize the additional winners.
This is the last time you can change your winning drafts.

And that’s it!  The Project Holder has now finalized 4 designs!

A brief note about the file transfer process:
- Designers will be notated through our messaging system and email that a Project Holder has indicated they want to choose them as an additional winner.  The designer has the right to decline or accept this offer.  If they choose to decline, the Project Holder can choose another winner or get a refund.
Attention Designers:  If you decide you do not want to accept an additional winning offer, you must contact support via email, live chat or phone asap.
- Final transfer process for the ultimate contest winner will begin immediately.  Once MycroBurst receives confirmation from the additional winning designers that they accept the Project Holder’s offer, then file transfer will begin.

At times, this can get confusing and we understand.  Feel free to give us a call at (877) 525-5646 or send us an email at support@mycroburst.com with any questions or concerns!

T-shirt design contest and proceeds from its sales will benefit the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.

pennstate MycroBurst joins Penn State supporters to raise money for RAINN.org

Recent events in State College, Pennsylvania have mobilized alumni to form Proud to be a Penn Stater.  This network of alumni, students and fans has a goal of raising $500,000 for RAINN.org.

“As Penn State Alumni, we wanted to get the focus back on the children and victims of sexual abuse,” said Joe Witte, Vice-President of Mycroburst.com.  “RAINN.org is an outstanding organization and the support from alumni and students has been phenomenal. We’ve raised more than $100,000 in less than 36 hours, which is truly amazing and shows the concern for these victims and the strength of Penn State’s network.”

To assist in this fundraising, MycroBurst has asked our creative community of designers to develop a t-shirt design. The design will convey the support the Penn State community has for the victims of sexual abuse. Proceeds from the sale of the shirt will go to RAINN.org.

To submit your designs, visit the contest now!  This $400 guaranteed contest ends on Monday!

title1 New MycroBurst Feature Gives You More Options!

We’ve done it again! As many of you have seen, we are constantly improving MycroBurst.com to be the best we can be for our project holders and design community. Our newest feature enables project holders to have more options and it also gives designers an opportunity to win extra prize money!

So, what’s this new big addition?  MycroBurst is now allowing project holders to select additional winners! That’s right – if you see more than one design that you like throughout your contest, it could be yours!

Additional designs could be used anywhere - to spice up marketing collateral, make flyers eye-catching, ensure your stationery and business cards leave a lasting impression, and more!

The best part?  Choosing additional designs is a cinch.

Once a project holder has selected the ultimate winner for their design project, they will then be directed toward our additional winner selection page!  This is how it works:

- A project holder selects the individual design wanted.  (Please note:  You can select multiple additional winners – you are not limited to one!  All of the following steps are the same.)
- A prize amount for the additional design is offered to the designer of that design.  We suggest offering the same prize amount that was offered during the contest or more.
- The designer of the additional design then decides whether or not they will accept the prize amount and give the project holder that additional design.

Once the designer agrees to the offered prize, the design will be yours!  Waiting time for  finalized files is the same 2-3 working days as the original contest.

To all of our designers, I imagine you can see the benefits that are present for you too!  Now that there are more opportunities for designs to be chosen by project holders, there are more opportunities for you to win prize money!  When you are chosen as an additional winner, you are given the option to release your designs not only for a prize amount, but for exposure of your skills!

I hope you are all excited as we are, we can’t wait to see this new feature in action!

Happy Labor Day from MycroBurst!

Friday 2 September 2011< | Jessica Kornfeind

labordayblogbannerupdate Happy Labor Day from MycroBurst!

The United States has had some tough weather lately, especially on the east coast.  There has been earthquakes, tornados and dear old Hurricane Irene.  For many, a holiday weekend couldn’t have come soon enough.

This weekend, the USA will be celebrating Labor Day!  For many Americans this holiday symbolizes the end of summer including final beach trips, backyard barbecues and the official last day to wear white.  However, the meaning is quite deeper than that.

The first Labor Day in the US was celebrated on September 5th, 1882.  Today, it is celebrated on the first Monday of September.  Originated in Canada, Labor Day was created to be a day of rest and to recognize the average working man.

Per usual, Americans will be traveling to enjoy the long weekend.  Beaches and Resorts have been reopened after recent devastating weather.  AAA predicts 31.6 million Americans will be traveling over the weekend, about a million less than last year.

Travel and history aside, I highly suggest you check out this article, “10 Interesting Facts about Labor Day.”  It’s definitely interesting and may teach you a few unknown facts about the holiday!

Whatever is on your to-do list for the weekend, my hope is that you use the Labor Day weekend for what it was originated for – enjoyment and relaxation!

From all of us at MycroBurst.com, have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend everyone!
